Sneak Peak for Beginning of March:

Somerset West Leisure Farm in Divorce Settlement on Auction

The luxury Leisure farm of Goedeverwachting, which forms one of three superb properties in a Deed of Settlement to be disposed of by auction, will be on offer on-site at Goedeverwachting Farm, Sir Lowry’s Road, Somerset West on Friday, March 2 at 12pm. “We are privileged to auction this unique estate which offers the country loving family who wants proximity to Cape Town but a private luxury rural lifestyle the best of both of these worlds” says the ClareMart Auction Group Auctioneer, Dawie Maritz.

The secure lifestyle-farm is situated along the popular Sir Lowry’s Road and covers approximately  24 Ha of excellent Cape countryside with mountain backdrops and magnificent opportunities to explore the Helderberg and Boland.

The farm includes a well-appointed farm-house which features a main lounge with fireplace as well as a separate living room. There is a family dining room and a second smaller lounge also featuring a fire place. There is a guest water closet as well as family bathroom and two double sized bedrooms and a third main bedroom featuring an en-suite bathroom.  The home boasts a modern country kitchen with laundry room attached and the night air or sunshine can be taken in from the patio. “Although this is essentially a farmhouse, there has been no detail overlooked in making this home a modern, luxurious country residence” says Maritz.

For outdoor entertainment the estate offers a swimming pool with pool room, tennis court and a four horse stable and tac-room. “There is an opportunity to generate an income whilst living on Goedeverwachting as there is a conferencing room on the farm as well as three three-bedroomed self-servicing cottages with bathrooms and kitchens as well as a one –bedroomed cottage with self-servicing capability” says Maritz. For convenience the farm offers two boreholes and has a stream bringing water throughout the year onto the farm as well as four garages.

“The location of the farm lends itself well to those who are enchanted by the idea of living in the Hottentots-Holland Mountain range and find day trips to Hermanus or Cape Town appealing as well as fly-fishing afternoons on Steenbras Dam. Of course, for the family that prefers time at home there is enough space and enough entertainment features to simply enjoy a country lifestyle, nestled in luxury”.

The Farm, Goedeverwachting, will be on show on Thursday, February 16 from 12pm to 3pm and Sunday, February 26 from 2pm to 5pm. The country estate will be auctioned on site on Friday, March 2 at 12pm and for information contact Dawie Maritz on 021 425 8822 or visit www.claremart.co.za
